Welcome to Auriel Eurythmy, the only eurythmy training program in Canada and since 2017 also in Mexico. Auriel is currently running 2 groups. One in Canada and one in Mexico, and has graduated the inaugural group that began in 2013. The Auriel modular part-time eurythmy training is made up of 18 modular courses, 4 in the first, second, third and fourth year and 2 longer modules in the fifth year. Successful completion of the training requires independent study, written assignments, as well as movement and practicum assignments and 3 days per week of classes from the third year until graduation.

We are very happy to be able to offer these courses as stand alone courses or as part of the training process for anyone who is interested in eurythmy for their personal or professional development, and for those who wish to start preparing the way to becoming eurythmists.
New groups are formed every second year. The next first year module will be offered in September 2021. Starting in the Fall 2018 Auriel launched a Foundation Year of anthroposophical studies with an emphasis on the arts, targeted for eurythmy students but open to anyone wishing an online course in anthroposophy with four weekends per year of art and community for each of the four major festivals of the year. |
As a modular training Auriel has an interdisciplinary approach, using a variety of artistic subjects and consciousness studies that are closely knit together with the eurythmy curriculum, facilitating a transformational process in all aspects of the human being.
Students are required to be self directed and committed to their independent work between modules, this creates strength and confidence in the learning community. Auriel faculty are members of this learning community, further strengthening the community building aspect of the work. Auriel creates its educational model out of an Anthroposophical world view and seeks to provide for the individual streams developed as Eurythmy practice in the artistic, pedagogical, curative and sacred fields. Auriel seeks to build its spiritual home through the individuals, independent of one particular geographic location, remaining adaptable to the needs of its participants Auriel strives to continue the original indications and source material for Eurythmy given by Rudolf Steiner and creates its developmental model out of an Anthroposophical Worldview while making this relevant in a contemporary context. |
